Genome sequencing has played an important role in our response to the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Auckland. New Zealand Herald science journalist Jamie Morton reports on the rapid review released today which finds that our genomics efforts are “world leading” – but still need improvement. The review was written by EPA Chief Scientist Professor Michael Bunce.
