The Prime Minister has asked my Office to host two internships to complete a future-focused project centred on the Tairāwhiti, to support the ‘shared future’ kaupapa of the commemorations. The topic will be chosen in association with the candidate.

We are working with Tairāwhiti iwi to develop a selection process. We will be advertising widely for six weeks to ensure good quality candidates from anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand. There will be flexibility on the level of experience of the candidate, to accommodate the circumstances of interested applicants.

The internships will be able to be completed over six months full-time or over a longer time period on a part-time basis (with the overall time commitment being equivalent to six months full-time). The internships can be completed anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand, but will require some travel to spend time in our office in Auckland, and in the Tairāwhiti.
